At the end of the summer last year I visited Jamaica which was fantastic. In 2006 Jamaica sadly had the highest murder rate in the world. As a response to this fact I wanted to create a powerful Image which would make people think about the violence in their country and promote peace.
My visit helped me really engage with the people and I soon realised how beautiful the country really is and how lovely the people are. I manipulated the words of the malibu advert to contrast a comedy advertisement with a really serious fact.
